I love painting, especially Impressionism; and traveling with my wife; but my other love is for cooking. Over the years I have probably cooked for some 20,000 people. This includes cooking free for many groups to raise funds for worthy causes. Most of my recipes are original from me and some from my mother or my wife Dottie. This has led me to decide to share my original recipes with others. This site has 110 recipes to date! My goal is to be able to give real recipes that really are excellent. One should not expect anything exotic; but I will guarantee they will impress anyone who loves to eat. FIRST GO TO GOOGLE AND PRINT IN THE WHITE BOX FRANK ASHTON ORIGINAL RECIPES AND CLICK ON THAT. MEATBALLS IN MUSTARD SAUCE, ASHTON STYLE #209

Meatballs in mustard sauce is a very simple recipe which combines the meatballs with penne pasta and is very good for lunch or dinner.  I suppose it really isn't an Italian recipe or even Norwegian but it seems to me to be toward French or French American.  Whatever one refers to it, I believe it is worth trying for something a little different. Please let me know how you like it!
INGREDIENTS:
     2 lbs of ground chuck
     1 medium onion minced
     1 egg
1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS FOR THE MEATBALLS
     1. mix all the above ingredients and form
into meatballs (this recipe should make
         about 12 or 13 meatballs
     2. fry the meatballs in a 1/2 cup of
virgin olive oil until well browned
         on all sides (set aside)
